About The Position

Location: Hyatt Place Pensacola Airport Public Area Attendants are responsible for keeping all public facilities (such as lobby, restrooms, meeting rooms, offices, business center, etc.) in a clean and neat condition. The Public Area Attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be able to maintain the set cleanliness standards of all public areas and address guest requests and problems.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, or scheduled form.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English to communicate with guests and team members.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Have a strong attention to details.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a high degree of autonomy.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 1 year of housekeeping experience in the hospitality industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Always approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner by maintaining a positive demeanor.
  • Promote a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving any conflict in a calm and poised manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the individual property.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.
  • Clean and maintain orderliness of lobby, meeting rooms, restrooms, hallways, restaurants, banquet halls, gyms and any other areas of the public.
  • Some daily duties include but are not limited to sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors on a frequent basis, polishing furniture, fixtures, and elevators, empty ashtrays and trashcans.
  • Routine floor checks to maintain the cleanliness on each floor and elevator landing.
  • Assist guests in public areas when required.
  • Address and resolve all guest complaints quickly and accurately.
  • Show initiative in job performance by anticipating the needs of guests and team members alike.
  • Have good knowledge of all hotel facilities, hours of operation, restaurants, shops, and function rooms.
  • Follow all company’s policies and procedures.
  • Must maintain a clean and safe work environment and report any safety issues to management immediately.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
