ROLE SUMMARY: The Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of all public spaces throughout Hotel Drover — including lobbies, restrooms, corridors, and employee areas. This role ensures that every area of the property reflects our legendary hospitality and high brand standards, creating a clean, inviting, and memorable environment for guests and team members alike.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully with guests and team members.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining brand cleanliness standards.
  • Flexible schedule — must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in fast-paced or high-traffic environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in hospitality, housekeeping, or custodial services preferred.
  • Knowledge of cleaning products, sanitation techniques, and safety practices.
  • Familiarity with hotel or resort operations preferred.
  • Strong multitasking, time management, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and service all public areas, including hotel entrances, restrooms, corridors, elevators, pool decks, fitness center, offices, and meeting spaces.
  • Clean glass, mirrors, and interior windows; dust furniture, artwork, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Ensure pool decks, surrounding walkways, and poolside furniture are clean, orderly, and well-maintained throughout operating hours.
  • Monitor cleanliness of poolside seating, cabanas, towel stations, and trash receptacles; restock towels and supplies as needed.
  • Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and polish wood and tile surfaces using approved chemicals and equipment.
  • Empty and sanitize trash containers, ash urns, and recycling bins in public and employee areas.
  • Replenish restroom supplies, towels, and other guest amenities as needed.
  • Wash walls, ceilings, doors, and other surfaces; maintain and polish stainless steel, wood, and glass finishes.
  • Inspect furniture and fixtures for cleanliness and condition; report maintenance or repair needs to Engineering.
  • Post caution or wet floor signs as needed to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Respond promptly to guest or departmental requests for assistance and deliver requested items as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and protective gear.
  • Maintain storage closets, carts, and housekeeping supplies in a clean and organized manner.
  • Collaborate with Housekeeping, Engineering, and Front Office teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • All other duties as assigned.
