About The Position

QED Systems, LLC is currently recruiting a Public Affairs Specialist to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, in support of our C5ISR Center HQ Operations Support contract. This position supports the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center Headquarters. Specifically, this position develops informational materials – ranging from news articles and press releases to multimedia products and campaigns – that inform appropriate agencies or the public on key mission efforts and programs, and workforce activities. These efforts contribute to the organization’s strategic communications plan and are influenced by guidance from senior leadership.

Requirements

Requires skills in written and oral communication, analysis, and interpersonal relations.
ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret
Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in Communication, Business administration, marketing, or related field preferred.
At least five (5) years of experience required.

Responsibilities

Performs internal tasker routing, review of documents and multimedia as part of the organization’s public release process.
Establishes and maintains mutual communication between Federal agencies and the public and various other pertinent publics including internal or external, foreign or domestic audiences.
Identifies communication needs and develops informational materials that inform appropriate publics of the agency's policies, programs, services and activities and the planning, execution and evaluation of the effectiveness of information and communication programs to further agency goals.
Develop a deep understanding of the organization’s mission, capabilities, core competencies and stakeholder audience. Efforts in this position will augment and bolster the ability to target key stakeholders and align to Department of War narratives.
