About The Position

The Senior Principal in the Public Affairs Program Management Office (PMO) at The Cigna Group will play a pivotal role in business management processes and the development of strategic priorities. This position requires close collaboration with the leadership team and key partners to ensure effective execution of initiatives and alignment with organizational goals. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker and a collaborative leader, responsible for driving operational excellence and facilitating communication across various stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of related work experience required; prior experience leading management processes for a business unit preferred; advanced degree highly desirable.
  • Significant Public Affairs leadership experience required.
  • Demonstrated strong emotional intelligence and ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and anticipate future trends.
  • Exceptional capacity for managing and leading people and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with SharePoint & WebEx Meetings required; proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  • Experience in a matrix management environment.
  • Strong persuasion skills and effective communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a critical advisor to the Public Affairs leadership team and key matrix partners.
  • Act as a connector across cross-functional teams to prioritize and escalate key initiatives.
  • Drive the processes of annual strategic and operating plans, project efforts, and major initiatives.
  • Facilitate and coordinate the identification and fulfillment of key deliverables to drive progress toward annual goals.
  • Maintain metrics and scorecards to assess operational and strategic performance.
  • Prepare leaders for Monthly Operating Reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews.
