About The Position

Responsibilities

  • Receive children admitted into protective custody and assess their immediate needs.
  • Conduct home studies to evaluate stability and placement options for children being adopted.
  • Provide direct services to youth and secure necessary documentation for medical and behavioral health services.
  • Compile monthly statistic reports and maintain communication with Child Haven Leadership Staff.
  • Assess immediate safety factors affecting children upon intake and implement safeguarding strategies.
  • Facilitate therapeutic activities and document progress on treatment plans for assigned children.
  • Perform medical case management duties, including securing documentation for necessary services and accompanying children to appointments.
  • Take incoming calls regarding potential child abuse and neglect complaints and document assessments.
  • Provide ongoing assessment and services to families with child abuse and neglect issues, focusing on safety and permanency.
  • Conduct post-placement visits and assist adoptive parents in understanding family connections.
