About The Position
The PTE Field Services Technician position at POWER Engineers involves working under the guidance of experienced Field Services Engineers or Technicians. The successful candidate will engage in the inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of moderately complex electrical systems and associated apparatus. This role encompasses work in low, medium, or high voltage systems, providing an excellent opportunity for hands-on learning and professional development in the electrical engineering field. The candidate will gain experience in operating test instruments, supporting protection and controls testing, and understanding the fundamentals of electrical system components and their overall structure. The ideal candidate will possess strong planning, organizing, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills. A focus on safety, quality, and a sense of urgency is essential for completing work effectively. The position primarily requires travel throughout the Eastern region of the U.S., with potential support for work in other regions as needed. Candidates should be prepared for up to 85% travel and may be located in any mutually agreeable location. This role is designed for individuals who enjoy working in outdoor and industrial environments rather than traditional office settings.
