Summary: This position is responsible for assisting with physical therapy procedures and related tasks that have been selected by the supervising physical therapist. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Successful graduation from an accredited physical therapy assistant program (unless the Physical Therapy Examining Committee has provided a qualifying opinion on equivalent training and/or experience) is required.
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant with the State of California is required. Exception may be made for Physical Therapy Assistant Licensed Applicant with a requirement to obtain licensure within six months of hire into position.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.
  • Ability to utilize physical therapy equipment safely is required.
  • Ability to relate in a professional manner to patients, physicians, the public and other health care providers while demonstrating excellent customer service is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one year experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant is preferred.
  • Experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
