About The Position

Missouri Baptist Medical Center has a Safe Patient Handling Expert position available with BJC. Our team is patient-centered with a focus on teaching/training new members and students. We value each team member's experiences, approaches, and ideas! Come join MOBAP's excellent therapy department! Must be a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, who will function in the capacity of Safe Patient Handling and Mobility Specialist (experience strongly preferred in safe patient handling).

Requirements

• Education: Associate's Degree - APTA program
• Experience: 2-5 years
• Licenses & Certifications: PTA

Nice To Haves

• Experienced in Safe Patient Handling and Mobility
• Certified Safe Patient Handling Associate

Responsibilities

• Carries out established treatment plans, recognizing precautions, indications, and contraindications under the direction of the Physical Therapist.
• Develops and instructs in home exercise programs.
• Carries out appropriate emergency, safety, and infection control procedures.
