About The Position

Under supervision, the Attendant is the onsite staff contact for the City's Parks and Recreation Department. The Fitness Center Attendant will ensure the overall safety, health and welfare of all members using the fitness center. The Fitness Center Attendant is responsible for providing a clean, safe and welcoming environment for all users. The Fitness Center Attendant is responsible for providing quality customer service by assisting members as needed. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent. Note: An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be considered.
Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or border state driver's license, as defined by NRS 483.
Must pass a nationwide fingerprint-based record check, and a wants/warrants check.

Responsibilities

Maintains order in fitness center and ensures all members adhere to policies, rules and regulations.
Monitors equipment use to ensure compliance with policies and redirects users as needed.
Inspects fitness equipment and reports issues to Fitness Center Supervisor.
Instructs members regarding the use of equipment and facility policies.
Provides customer service through greeting and logging all members as they enter the fitness center.
Acts in a professional manner when involved in conflict management with members and staff.
Maintains a clean and tidy workspace.
Participates in a rotational detailed cleaning of assigned machines
Performs routine cleaning in fitness center including but not limited to: Operates various cleaning equipment and supplies including brooms, mops, vacuums, cleaning products.
Collects and dispose of refuse from trash cans throughout fitness center.
Monitors facility supplies including soaps, cleaners, and towels and notifies supervisor to order supplies or equipment as needed.
Ensures fitness area remains clean and organized; organize dumbbells, weight plates, and bars. Disinfect and clean equipment.
