The Physical Therapy Technician/Trainer position is a part-time, PRN role in an outpatient Orthopaedic clinic. The technician/trainer will assist the Physical Therapist and Physical Therapy Assistant with patient care and office tasks, ensuring a smooth operation of daily therapy treatments and administrative duties.

  • Assist PT with daily patient therapy treatment utilizing skills certified or trained by the PT.
  • Maintain linen supply in the facility.
  • Organize and clean equipment and supplies needed for treatments.
  • Straighten and maintain treatment areas.
  • Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with patients and other customers.
  • Monitor supply inventory and report reorder needs to Supervisor.
  • Report need for equipment repairs to Supervisor.
  • Ensure a safe and clean facility including physical plant and equipment maintenance.
  • Assume any other responsibilities assigned by the Director or Administrator of Physical Therapy and/or the Business Office.
  • Perform business office tasks as needed, including answering phones, scheduling and admitting patients, authorizing insurance, filing, copying, faxing, and assisting with co-payments.
  • High School diploma required; college hours preferred and/or healthcare training.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to accurately document information for billing purposes.
