Requirements

• Associate’s degree or certification in a related field required
• 2 years directly related experience may be considered in lieu of required degree
• 1 year recent experience in hard/software technical support required (HCCS experience is considered on a two for one basis)
• Demonstrated competencies in computer hardware/software installation and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, troubleshoot, and repair personal computer hardware and software
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure good operating conditions
• Communicate with users to detect possible problems
• Assist in the evaluation of new equipment to be supported by the Technical Support area
• Maintain inventory to ensure maintenance and repair of computers
• Maintain up-to-date virus protection
• Perform regular hard drive clean up and maintenance
• Maintain files for software documentation
• Research and test new software packages
