About The Position

The PT Soft Lines Merchandising Specialist is responsible for sorting and processing soft line donations at Goodwill Industries of Houston. This role involves separating sellable items from outlet products, ensuring proper presentation on the sales floor, and pricing items according to company guidelines. Requirements

• Ability to communicate and interact well with a variety of personality types.

• Retail sales experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Sort through soft line donations and separate sellable items from outlet products.
• Ensure items are appropriately hung on hangers and organized by department.
• Research exceptional or name-brand items to price them according to GWH guidelines.
• Process soft line donations from the backroom to prepare merchandise for the sales floor.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with inquiries about store operations and merchandise.
• Assist with loading and unloading merchandise as needed.
• Notify management of low or overstocked merchandise.
• Perform necessary janitorial work and assist in floor recovery as needed.
