About The Position

The PT Shift Supervisor at Securitas in Shakopee, MN, is responsible for supervising Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other personnel at client sites. The role involves ensuring compliance with post orders, completing established rounds, and filing required reports. The supervisor will notify authorities in emergencies, coach and discipline personnel, and assist in payroll submissions. The position also includes training Security Officers, preparing reports, and meeting with client representatives to ensure security requirements are met. Supervisory duties may include interviewing, training, planning, and addressing complaints. The supervisor may also perform Security Officer duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or ability to complete GED within 6 months.
  • Standard computer/technology skills.
  • Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills are a plus.
  • Ability to interact professionally with a wide range of individuals.
  • Attention to detail and vigilance throughout the shift.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies with effective judgment.
  • Willingness to participate in pre-employment screening, including drug screen and background investigation.
  • CPR/FA certification.
  • Prior supervisory experience required.
  • Prior security/law enforcement/military experience preferred.

  • Experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation.
  • Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Security Officers and other personnel at client sites.
  • Ensure compliance with post orders and complete established rounds.
  • File required reports and notify authorities in emergencies.
  • Coach and discipline personnel as appropriate.
  • Train Security Officers and review post orders with subordinates.
  • Assist in payroll and personnel information submissions.
  • Ensure adequate coverage of all posts and positions.
  • Prepare and submit various reports as required.
  • Inspect posts and meet with subordinates to outline tasks.
  • Meet with client representatives to ensure security requirements are met.
  • Carry out supervisory duties including interviewing and training employees.
  • Address complaints and resolve problems.
