About The Position

This position functions as a supervisor of Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other company personnel assigned to one or more posts at client site(s); acts to ensure that all post orders are followed, that established rounds are completed, and that required reports are filed. The supervisor notifies proper authorities and clients in emergency situations, coaches and disciplines personnel as appropriate, and seeks advice from company management or designated representatives as appropriate. The role includes training Security Officers and other company personnel, reviewing post orders and other details of assignments with subordinates, and assisting in the submission of payroll and personnel information to the company as designated.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or ability to complete the GED program within 6 months.
  • Standard computer/technology skills.
  • Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills are a plus.
  • Ability to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.
  • Great attention to detail and ability to remain vigilant throughout the shift.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies with rapid and effective judgment.
  • 2 years of Security experience or previous military/law enforcement/corrections experience.
  • Management experience considered.
  • Internal officers only need one year of security experience.

Responsibilities

  • Functions as a supervisor of Security Officers and other personnel at client site(s).
  • Ensures that all post orders are followed and established rounds are completed.
  • Notifies proper authorities and clients in emergency situations.
  • Coaches and disciplines personnel as appropriate.
  • Trains Security Officers and reviews post orders with subordinates.
  • Assists in the submission of payroll and personnel information.
  • Ensures adequate coverage of all posts and positions.
  • Prepares, files, and submits various reports as required.
  • Inspects posts as scheduled and meets with subordinates to outline tasks.
  • Meets with client representatives to ensure security requirements are met.
  • Carries out supervisory duties including interviewing, training, and performance appraisals.
  • May perform the duties of a Security Officer as needed.
