About The Position

Friends University is seeking to fill the part-time Security Officer position at our Wichita, Kansas Campus location. The Security Guard will provide third shift security services to Friends University; patrols campus and checks resident halls and other buildings; maintain safe parking conditions on campus. Work hours are Sunday and Monday, midnight to 8 am, guaranteed 20 hours per week; additional hours may occasionally be requested. Some weekends/holidays possible.

Requirements

• Two years experience in security or related field
• Firearms certification required
• Must carry handgun that meets with the Wichita Police Department requirements
• Computer skills are necessary (Microsoft Office products desired)
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner
• A valid driver's license is required
