About The Position

As a team member at Michaels, you will deliver friendly customer service, assist customers in shopping our store, and help them find what they’re looking for. You will ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience. Your duties will include completing truck unloading and merchandise tasks throughout the store, maintaining store recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises. You will help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions, while also executing cash handling to standards. Engaging customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, you will complete enrollments and educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey. Additionally, you will assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS). Participation in the truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes is also required. You will be responsible for completing merchandise recovery and maintenance, including the merchandise return/go back process and general store recovery to ensure a well-merchandised and in-stock store. Performing Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned, you will support shrink and safety programs, adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements, and execute Company policies and standards. Interacting with others in an accepting and respectful manner, you will remain positive and respectful, even in difficult situations, promoting commitment to the organization’s vision and values, projecting a positive image, and serving as a role model for other Team Members. You will also be cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Preferred retail and/or customer service experience.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to move throughout the store.
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.
