About The Position

As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for guests at our dining outlets, providing excellent customer service while handling transactions efficiently. This is a great opportunity to work in a fun, fast-paced resort environment, assisting guests as they enjoy our accommodations. Key Responsibilities: Greet guests warmly and provide outstanding customer service. Accurately process transactions, including cash, credit cards, and resort payment systems. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to enter orders and issue receipts. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the cashier station. Assist with answering guest inquiries about the menu, resort amenities, and promotions. Ensure compliance with food safety and handling guidelines. Assist with light food and beverage preparation or stocking as needed. Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure a smooth dining experience. Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary. Balance house bank at the end of the shift. Retrieves and store bank per resort guidelines.

Requirements

  • Previous cashier, food service, customer service or prior hospitality experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle transactions quickly and accurately.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively deal with and resolve conflict situations, such as inaccurate check total.
  • Ability to operate a keyboard and Point of Sale equipment and procedures to handle cashier functions.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
