About The Position

As a Team Member, your primary responsibility is to deliver a premium customer experience by inspiring creativity within our customers and making JOANN their Happy Place. You will drive sales through advanced product knowledge, innovative merchandising, and precise counter accuracy. Your contributions will enhance the overall sales and environment of the store through positive interactions with customers and fellow Team Members. You will create an exceptional in-store experience and provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers and assisting them in their projects. By utilizing JOANN's core values of Hearts, Hands, Minds, and Inspire, you will find success in your role. In your role, you will greet every JOANN customer and utilize the F.A.S.T. service model to meet their needs. This includes asking open-ended questions to understand their project requirements and guiding them to the desired product locations. You will engage in friendly conversations with customers about their projects while serving them at the cutting counter, cash register, and sales floor. You will also process customer transactions efficiently and with professionalism, ensuring a friendly atmosphere. Your responsibilities will include lifting boxes from the truck and receiving area, stocking shelves accurately according to planograms, and maintaining high standards throughout the sales floor by cleaning and recovering shelves. You will invite customers to participate in store activities, proactively drive sales through product knowledge, and work to minimize shrink by following proper policies and procedures. Additionally, you will assist other Team Members with tasks to ensure that the team exceeds expectations set by Store Management and help train new Team Members on various tasks.
