About The Position

A Sales Associate at Brown Elephant is responsible for delivering great customer service while handling cash transactions and on-floor sales. This position performs duties such as cashiering, stocking, and sorting/pricing of donations, as well as maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Requirements

High school diploma/ GED or equivalent is required.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to drive sales and achieve store profitability.
Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to represents the organization in a professional and positive manner.
Willingness and desire to work with diverse populations.
1 year of resale/retail sales and cashiering experience is preferred.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual- (English/Spanish) proficiency is highly preferred.
Knowledge of fashion trends, furniture, vintage, and collectables in the resale market is preferred.

Responsibilities

Engages in active on-floor selling and up-selling of merchandise, and client building.
Operates cash registers, handles returns and exchanges, and other Point of Sale (POS) transactions.
Greets and assists customers and donors by following established customer service guidelines.
Stocks, prices, and sorts donations and merchandise.
Maintains a clean, organized, and customer friendly environment.
May attend meetings as necessary.
Performs related duties as assigned.
