Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly upon arrival and provide assistance as needed.
Engage with customers to answer queries about products, promotions, and store policies.

Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately, including cash, credit, and debit payments.
Scan items efficiently and pack groceries as requested by customers.
Ensure the cash drawer is balanced at the beginning and end of each shift.
Maintain a thorough understanding of store products, including seasonal items and special promotions to inform customers and enhance their shopping experience.
Stay updated on new products and changes in store policies.
Assist in monitoring inventory levels at the front end, ensuring that shelves and displays are stocked.
Report any discrepancies in inventory or product availability to management.
Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of food and maintenance of a clean workspace.
Keep the checkout area tidy and organized to create a welcoming environment for customers.
Work cooperatively with fellow employees, including baggers and floor staff, to ensure a smooth flow of operations.
