About the position

In this role you will get to express your creativity and enthusiasm for life as you assist the Resident Program Director in creating, initiating, facilitating, and coordinating recreational and educational activities for the resident of the community.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and coordinating all resident activities.
  • Encourage residents to participate in programs and activities and provide transportation to them as needed.
  • Assist with the registration of residents for trips and programs.
  • Conduct various activities at the direction of the Resident Program Director.
  • Maintain necessary activity supplies, which may include outside purchasing.
  • Follow department budget guidelines.
  • Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience conducting programs and activities for seniors (preferred)
  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent form of a two-year college or technical school or six months to one year related experience and/or training
  • Excited and enthusiastic about fun activities and getting others to participate in those activities.
  • Extremely patient, helpful and flexible with others when explaining directions and answering questions.
