About The Position

Foothill-De Anza Community College District is establishing a pool of qualified applicants for the position of Part-Time Radiologic Technology Instructor. Applications will be accepted continuously until otherwise noted and will remain on file for two years from the date received or last submitted. The college does not reimburse applicants for travel, lodging, or any other costs incurred to attend interviews or accept employment. All interviewing and moving costs incurred will be the responsibility of the applicant.

Requirements

  • Understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for the diverse academic, socio-economic, ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds, disability, and sexual orientation of community college students, faculty, and staff.
  • Minimum qualifications as defined in the Minimum Qualifications for Faculty and Administrators in California Community Colleges.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in health-related discipline.
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Proficient in curriculum design, program administration, evaluation, instruction, and counseling.
  • Teaching experience in a Radiologic Technology Program.

Responsibilities

  • Perform instructional, counselor, or librarian duties as assigned.
  • Evaluate and assess student work and submit grades timely.
  • Participate in the assessment of performance, including administrative and student evaluations.
  • Instruct, oversee, and evaluate students in laboratory and clinical/hospital settings.
  • Work closely with clinical instructors involved in the clinical assignments of students.
  • Act as a liaison between the college and hospital department manager.
  • Teach one or more of the following courses: Clinical Radiologic Technology, Radiology Positioning Labs, and Radiation Physics.
