About The Position

Duties: Assists Residents with recyclables. May gather separated recycling materials and dump them into recycling bins. Assists Residents to dispose of motor oil in containers. Writes down the items on a form that the residents recycle. Walks around Recycling Center to pick up loose items around fence line. Must be able to obtain and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements. Works the assigned schedule and complies with the City's timekeeping and attendance policy. Qualifications: No educational or prior experience requirements. Must be in good physical condition and able to work outside in all types of weather; must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds, often while running or jogging; must have good vision to be able to avoid obstacles and to identify hazardous conditions. Basic math concepts including adding and subtracting two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
