A day in the life: The Mechanic is responsible for performing a variety of general and preventative maintenance duties. This includes installing, repairing, and maintaining building equipment and systems in a safe and efficient manner to ensure uninterrupted facility operations. What you’ll do as an Exceptional Team Member Perform routine and emergency maintenance services as scheduled. Conduct basic facility repairs, including changing light bulbs, minor plumbing work, and fixture replacements. Complete assigned work orders and tasks in a timely and professional manner. Conduct outdoor cleanup including trash pickup around the building and parking areas. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery as directed. Properly use, maintain, and store tools and equipment. Operate all mechanical and maintenance equipment safely and according to guidelines. Monitor and maintain assigned building systems and respond to issues as needed. Identify and report safety hazards and take appropriate action. Maintain courteous and professional behavior when interacting with residents, vendors, contractors, and colleagues. Work independently and efficiently without close supervision. What you’ll need to be an Extraordinary Team Member High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 1 year of commercial or facilities-related maintenance experience. Basic knowledge of maintenance trades such as electrical, plumbing, and general repairs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
