About The Position
Join Derby Assisted Living as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Derby. In this vital role located in Derby, you will provide compassionate nursing care to our residents, supporting their health needs while aligning with our mission to improve lives.
Requirements
- Valid LPN license in the state of Kansas
- Proven experience in long-term or assisted living settings.
- Strong knowledge of eldercare practices including dementia and memory support.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic.
- Excellent assessment skills combined with compassionate communication.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience administering injections or IV therapy is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols.
- Monitor residents’ health status through assessments.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop personalized care plans.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA.
- Provide wound care, IV infusions, and other nursing procedures.
- Educate residents on health management strategies.
- Ensure infection control standards are upheld.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies or changes in resident condition.
