About The Position

Foothill-De Anza Community College District is establishing a pool of qualified applicants for the position of Part-Time French Language Instructor. Applications will be accepted continuously until otherwise noted and will remain on file for two years from the date received or last submitted. The district does not reimburse applicants for travel, lodging, or any other costs incurred to attend interviews or accept employment. All interviewing and moving costs incurred will be the responsibility of the applicant.

Requirements

• Understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for the diverse academic, socio-economic, ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds, disability, and sexual orientation of community college students, faculty and staff.
• Minimum Qualifications for this position as defined in the Minimum Qualifications for Faculty and Administrators in California Community Colleges.

Responsibilities

• Perform instructional, counselor or librarian duties as assigned.
• Evaluate and assess student work and submit grades.
• Participate in evaluations of their performance including administrator, peer and/or student evaluations.
• Participate in campus events, professional development opportunities, and college meetings.
• Teach elementary, intermediate, and advanced French Language courses.
