About The Position

We are seeking a Food Service, Front of House Associate to provide excellent, friendly customer service while preparing and serving a wide variety of food products. The role involves cleaning and organizing the deli counter area and completing shift duties. This position is part-time with a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends.

Requirements

• Ability to safely and consistently lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as department manual
• Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, balance friendliness with efficiency, and maintain focus
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers
• Ability to work shifts with frequent standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching
• Food Safety Certification a Plus!

• Previous customer service experience
• Previous food service experience
• Experience or interest in natural foods and cooperatives

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve menu items according to recipe and portion guidelines
• Maintain a work pace which minimizes customer wait times
• Ensure that all product is in sellable condition and meets quality standards, making sure all unsellable items are disposed of
• Ensure that all FoH and deli cases (bakery, full serve, self-serve) are stocked and merchandised according to department standards
• Fulfill all shift duties as assigned
• Maintain FoH, deli and food storage areas in sanitary, orderly condition meeting Health Department standards
• Staff FoH Counter, Juice & Barista Counter, Sandwich & Pizza Counter as assigned
• Participates in quarterly inventory
• Maintain current and accurate knowledge of products and ingredients
