About The Position

The position involves planning, coordinating, and facilitating events, including children's birthday parties, within a Michaels store to ensure a fun and engaging experience for guests. The role requires delivering friendly customer service, assisting customers in finding products, and ensuring a fast and friendly checkout experience. Operational tasks include truck unloading, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards. The candidate will engage with clients of all ages, instruct party participants in craft projects, and facilitate party add-ons while ensuring client satisfaction and upholding cleanliness and safety standards. Administrative tasks such as answering emails and completing paperwork are also part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage with clients of all ages, creating an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and perform face painting.
• Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails and making phone calls.
• Adjust plans based on client feedback and needs, creating backup plans as necessary.
• Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.
• Uphold the company’s cleanliness and safety standards before and after each event.
• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience.
• Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
• Assist with Omni channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance tasks.
• Support shrink and safety programs and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Interact positively and respectfully with customers and team members.
• Participate in daily store cleanliness activities.
