About The Position

Job Purpose: Operate and maintain a sanitary and clean dishwashing room, machine, and related equipment in order to produce sterilized dishes, cooking containers, utensils, and related restaurant and food service items.

Requirements

Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift to 40 pounds.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
Must be able to communicate clearly with managers and kitchen personnel.
Knowledge of food, air borne and unsanitary cleaning cloth microbes, germs, and bacteria.
Knowledge of Public Health prescribed hand-washing techniques.
Knowledge of the duties of other positions similar in nature to fill in when necessary.
Current Food Handlers License.
Ability to work any shifts, start time, weekends, and holidays.
Documents that establish both Identity and Employment Eligibility.
Kickapoo Tribal Gaming License.

Responsibilities

Load, run and unload dish washing machine.
Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional and mechanical problems immediately.
Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
Wash pots, pans and trays and store all tableware and kitchenware.
Keep dish room clean and organized.
Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
Washes and peels vegetables as needed.
Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.
Bag and haul kitchen trash and garbage and places it in designed containers.
Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
Performs other duties and projects as required by management.
