About The Position

We are seeking a Part Time Personal Supports Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide hands-on care to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. This role involves assisting with personal hygiene, activities/outings, social engagement, shopping, planning, cooking, and cleaning. The DSP will provide respite support to a man in the Havre de Grace area. DSPs assist with creating opportunities for individuals to live full and productive lives by helping them participate in and explore the community, cultivating and expanding independent living skills, assisting with the development of meaningful and personal relationships, and implementing strategies to achieve individuals’ personal goals. This position is part-time and as needed/PRN, with a flexible schedule based on the needs of the individuals supported.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D preferred.
• Must be at least 20 years of age.
• Must have at least 2 years of driving experience.
• Current driver’s license (not provisional) with less than 3 points on driving record.
• Must be able to transport people supported as needed.
• Some lifting and transferring may be required.

Responsibilities
