About The Position

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a team member for our store in DFW-Irving, TX. The primary responsibilities include delivering friendly customer service, assisting customers in shopping and locating products, and ensuring a fast and friendly checkout experience. Team members will also be involved in truck unloading, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards to uphold our Brand Promises. Additional tasks include engaging customers about the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, educating them on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey, and assisting with Omni channel processes such as Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS). Team members will participate in stocking, planogram processes, and merchandise recovery to ensure a well-merchandised and in-stock store. Responsibilities also include supporting shrink and safety programs, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and interacting positively with customers and team members. Cross-training in Custom Framing selling and production may also be required.

Requirements

  • Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to move throughout the store.
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers in shopping the store.
  • Ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience.
  • Complete truck unloading and merchandise duties throughout the store.
  • Maintain store recovery standards to deliver Brand Promises.
  • Help customers locate products and provide solutions.
  • Engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
  • Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
  • Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
  • Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
  • Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including the merchandise return/go back process.
  • Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
  • Support shrink and safety programs.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
  • Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner; promote commitment to the organization’s vision and values.
  • Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other Team Members.
  • Cross train in Custom Framing selling and production.
