About The Position

Chrysalis Consulting Group is a for-profit company owned by Aunt Martha’s Health & Wellness. CARES is a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week, Medicaid-funded mental health crisis line for children, adolescents, and adult Illinois residents. The nature of the work associated with the Crisis Call Center is to provide resources to callers who are experiencing a suicidal, self-harming, aggressive, and/or psychotic episode and need therapeutic support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in human services or related field.
• 1 year of prior experience in social services.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Proficient in computer operations including data entry and navigating programs.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm.

• Bilingual Preferred (Spanish and English).

Responsibilities

• Taking incoming crisis calls and completing an initial clinical assessment.
• Determining the next level of service and dispatching referrals in a timely manner.
• Making subsequent follow-up calls as needed.
• Ensuring the quality and integrity of data entry.
• Multitasking duties and systems including answering crisis calls and navigating computer-based data entry programs.
• Providing clear, accurate, and concise narratives concerning client behaviors reported to stakeholders and funders.
• Participating in the agency's ongoing quality improvement efforts.
• Adhering to HIPAA laws and regulations.
