About The Position

The Kitchen Cook position is part of the Food & Beverage department and reports to the Executive/Sous Chef. This role is primarily responsible for working in the main kitchen and in concessions to prepare food items for the facility. The cook will fulfill service requirements as per each Banquet Event Order (BEO) and maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment, ensuring annual maintenance is performed. Creativity in designing buffet food presentations is essential, along with the ability to prepare recipes as directed and take direction well. A clean and safe working environment must be maintained at all times.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year experience in a banquet facility preparing meals for large events
  • Ability to work with other staff members in the facility
  • Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs. to the waist
  • Substantial standing, walking and lifting

Responsibilities

  • Fulfilling the service per each Banquet Event Orders (BEO)
  • Maintaining all Kitchen equipment cleanliness and annual maintenance
  • Designing buffet food presentations creatively
  • Preparing recipes as directed
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Completing other duties as assigned
