As a PT Cash / Merchandise Associate at HomeGoods, you will play a crucial role in delivering a highly satisfying customer experience. Your responsibilities will include engaging and interacting with customers, embodying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. You will adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards, and may be cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store to support the business needs. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about customer service and are eager to contribute to a positive store culture that values honesty, integrity, and respect. In this role, you will model established customer experience practices with both internal and external customers. You will be responsible for accurately ringing customer purchases and returns, counting change back to customers according to established operating procedures, and promoting credit and loyalty programs. Maintaining and upholding merchandising philosophy and following established merchandising procedures and standards will also be part of your duties. You will accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor, participate in store recovery as needed, and maintain all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor. Additionally, you will provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback, adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures, and support store shrink reduction goals and programs. Safety awareness is paramount, and you will participate in maintaining a safe environment.
