  • Observe and maintain the home environment to ensure the safety and security of the client.
  • Assist with household chores including cooking, meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Assist in completing activities such as shopping and appointments outside the home.
  • Provide companionship including social interaction, conversation, and emotional reassurance.
  • Encourage reading, writing, and mind-stimulating activities.
  • Perform or assist the client with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, hair care, mouth care, and dressing.
  • Maintain timely service records of home visits.
  • Attend and participate in appropriate client care conferences, staff and education meetings, and agency committee meetings.
  • Valid, current driver's license and access to a reliable automobile.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Six months or more personal care experience in a home care setting preferred.
  • Experience in home and community care.
