WRVA and WRNL, “Sport Radio 910 the Fan” in Richmond, Virginia has a rare opening for a Part Time Board Operator/Producer and On Air Personality . 2025-2026 will be an unbelievable year in news, politics and sports, so come and be a part of a legendary radio station in one of America’s coolest cities. You’ll be working with an experienced Major Market management team as well as an outstanding support staff. Requirements
- Minimum 2 years previous experienced preferred
- Familiarity with station format required.
- Must be able to perform with little supervision
- Familiarity with FCC rules and regulations preferred.
- High school diploma required; college degree in media-related major preferred.
Responsibilities
- Run the control board, following station format, arranging and playing commercials and IDs according to program and commercial logs as well as produce talk shows, sporting events, and on-site broadcasts
- Candidates must demonstrate the ability to collaborate on story ideas and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Candidates must be detail oriented and cool under the pressure of meeting tight deadlines.
- Collaborate with newsroom staff
- Create original content and perform live broadcasts that are entertaining and informative
- Participate and create original content for all social media platforms; manage online personality presence
- Must be willing to work a schedule that will include holidays, nights, overnights, and/or weekends.
- Follow all applicable laws and FCC regulations.
- Other duties as required by management
