About The Position

The Barista at La Colombe is responsible for creating a world-class coffee experience by engaging with customers, preparing high-quality beverages, and maintaining a clean and safe café environment. This role emphasizes kindness, respect, and efficiency while embodying the company's core principles. The Barista will also seek opportunities to learn more about coffee and the La Colombe mission, contributing to a positive team atmosphere.

Requirements

• Strong people skills for dealing with the public and team members.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs or more.
• Capability to stand for long periods of time.
• Basic understanding of computer POS systems.
• Ownership and initiative in driving and taking pride in La Colombe.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome customers and build relationships with repeat customers.
• Determine customers' coffee needs and interests and offer La Colombe products.
• Communicate positively and professionally with customers and team members.
• Serve quality beverages in a timely manner while meeting product recipes and quality standards.
• Record and accurately process purchases using the POS system and handle payments.
• Coach fellow baristas on quality expectations and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the café, handling hot beverages with care.
• Complete opening and closing tasks and participate in deep cleaning of the café.
