About The Position

CJ Pony Parts, Inc. is looking for a full-time Auto Parts Counter and Sales Representative to join our team! Successful candidates will be responsible for assisting customers in our showroom, handling inquiries, and processing orders both in-person and over the phone. This individual will rely on excellent automotive knowledge and familiarity with company products and programs to better serve the customer. You will also assist in answering technical product and service questions as well as resolving issues. This team is crucial to the happiness of our customers and their rides!

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a call center preferred.
  • Previous experience in an automotive retail environment is preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as invoice quantity and unit prices and vendor discounts.
  • Ability to handle upset customers calmly and appropriately.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with handling phone calls, work tickets, and live chat in a customer service setting.
  • Proficient with Microsoft products and ERP/CRM systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Education in automotive technology or a related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting and assisting customers in the showroom with selecting and purchasing automotive parts.
  • Answer customer questions regarding product specifications, availability, and compatibility.
  • Process orders, returns, and exchanges efficiently and accurately at the parts counter.
  • Support call center queue when needed by being active in the queue and answering incoming sales calls.
  • Handle incoming phone calls for the call center, providing expert advice and resolving customer inquiries.
  • Manage work tickets by tracking, updating, and closing them promptly.
  • Engage with customers via live chat to provide real-time support and answer questions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized showroom and parts counter area.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up to date on product knowledge, new releases, and industry trends.
  • Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and conducting regular inventory counts.
  • All other duties as assigned.
