About The Position

Miracle Hill Ministries is South Carolina's largest and most comprehensive provider of homeless services. At our core, we exist to serve people experiencing homelessness-physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We share the Good News of Jesus with them as they move toward independence, stability, and healthy relationships. Summary / Purpose of Position: Provides kitchen support services for the Kitchen Manager while also promoting a healthy, nurturing Christian environment by sharing the Gospel and providing Guest Support services.

Requirements

  • Education or equivalent experience: HS Diploma
  • Specialized training required: Microsoft
  • Become ServSafe Qualified
  • Possess good oral and written communication skills.
  • Possess the ability to speak the truth in love while accurately interpreting communication in relationship.
  • License/Certification: Valid SC Driver's License

Responsibilities

  • Have a willingness to share the good news of Jesus Christ, give a personal testimony and pray with/for those served by the ministry. Be comfortable and willing to lead a guest to the Lord.
  • Models vulnerability to the guests when appropriate.
  • Serves as Assistant Kitchen Manager
  • Assist with pickup of food from MH food sources
  • Ensure kitchen is following DHEC guidelines
  • Responds appropriately to emergencies
  • Insures compliance with resident guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Interacts with Guests by providing encouragement and support
  • Attends staff and supervisory meetings as agreed upon when hired
  • Perform special assignments when needed as directed by staff
  • Maintains positive working relationships with Guests, Staff, Volunteers and Referring agencies
  • Assists with supervision of the kitchen personnel
  • Assumes specific administrative duties in the absence of and as authorized by the director.
