Reporting to the Department Head of Humanities, Arts, and Interdisciplinary Studies, Music Faculty are responsible for teaching a variety of introductory and upper-level undergraduate Music courses, including Music Appreciation, African American Music, Music Theory, and other courses as needed. Teaching flexibility is highly desired. Essential Job Functions: Teaching all levels of undergraduate Music courses. (Adjunct teaching load is up to 9 credit hours per semester; Adjuncts are not eligible for release time.) Ability to use technology in the classroom as well as the ability to teach online courses as needed. Effectively managing the classroom environment. Developing, maintaining, and submitting accurate, timely, and complete records (attendance, assignments, grades, end-of-course reports, etc.). Participating in the course and curriculum development.
