About The Position

The Psychotherapist at Froedtert Health provides psychiatric assessment and evaluation for patients in medical settings and outpatient programs. This role involves developing and implementing treatment plans using psychosocial and therapeutic interventions, care coordination, and responding to clinical consults. The position requires collaboration with psychiatrists and adherence to state certification requirements, with opportunities for both part-time and full-time schedules.

Requirements

  • 3,000 hours of post-graduate clinical supervision in behavioral health.
  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, educational psychology, or allied health profession from an accredited institution.
  • Specific clinical training in psychotherapy, psychiatric evaluation, and assessment is required.
  • Current Wisconsin licensure as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in clinical mental or behavioral health discipline with clinic field placement/practicum preferred.
  • Training in one or more specific modalities of treatment (CBT, DBT, ACT, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychiatric assessment and evaluation for patients in medical settings and outpatient programs.
  • Develop, support, and carry out treatment plans using psychosocial and therapeutic interventions.
  • Respond to consults with appropriate clinical recommendations and provide behavioral health consult services.
  • Complete all written and electronic documentation following clinic protocol and state certification requirements.
  • Participate in clinical collaboration and supervision with psychiatrists and clinic supervisors.
  • Support other behavioral health program needs and duties as assigned.
  • Travel between CHD sites to support program operations as required.
