About The Position

Promoting the psychological recovery of adults and geriatric adults in crisis by organizing and leading expressive groups, recreational groups, educational groups, psychosocial rehabilitation groups and individual sessions. The Psychotherapist II functions as part of a multi-disciplinary crisis intervention team with particular emphasis on groups/activities that utilize their specialized education and clinical training. As a member of the multi-disciplinary team, the Psychotherapist II makes recommendations for the patient’s involvement in available programming and documents all clinical interventions in the patient’s medical records. This position requires providing service to the following age population(s Adult/Older Adult/Frail Elderly in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. Job Description Education/Training/Experience: MA/MS in Psychology, Social Work, Therapeutic Activities, Occupational Therapy, or Creative Arts Therapy. Combination of experience and training commensurate with his/her assigned task. (Required) ______________________________________________________________________________ Licenses/Certifications: LSW (Preferred) ATR (Preferred), CTR (Preferred), or BC (Preferred). CPR certified (Required) ______________________________________________________________________________ Physical Demand Analysis: Physical Requirements- Moderate level of physical activity (walking, sitting, standing) occasionally lifts 35-50 pounds. Meets requirements for Physical Examination and Communicable Disease Screenings as per State Requirements. Visual Requirements- Normal vision requirements. Hearing Requirements-Able to hear normal conversation and telephone conversation. Working Conditions-Exposure to inside environment conditions, bloodborne and respiratory pathogens. Due to 24 hour patient care needs, in case of emergency, you may be required to work beyond your scheduled hours. Other- Ability to read and record in medical charts. Writing skills are necessary in order to meet documentation

Requirements

  • MA/MS in Psychology, Social Work, Therapeutic Activities, Occupational Therapy, or Creative Arts Therapy
