About The Position

Essentia Health is seeking a full-time, 1.0 FTE therapist to provide therapeutic and diagnostic services to patients and families at the Mid Dakota Bismarck 9th St Clinic. The role includes individual, group, and family therapy, mental health intakes and assessments, diagnostics, and coordination of treatment services. The therapist will work within an interdisciplinary team and may be required to provide Minnesota DHS Clinical Supervision for Partial Hospitalization Programs. The position is Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with a caseload that includes both adult and pediatric outpatients, and no inpatient responsibilities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, clinical counseling, psychology, or other discipline that meets eligibility requirements for licensure.
• Licensed to practice psychotherapy in the state of North Dakota.
• Licensed or license-eligible to provide telehealth services in other states.
• Credentialed provider required: LICSW, LMFT, LPCC, LCSW.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client intakes focusing on diagnostic and functional evaluations.
• Make recommendations to the primary care provider concerning clients’ treatment goals and plans.
• Provide consultation to primary care providers to enhance their skills in treating mental health problems.
• Document clients’ progress and diagnostic information in the treatment chart to sync with EMR interface and billing.
• Assist clients with community functioning by helping with public benefits, vocational rehabilitation, social support, and housing.
