About The Position
The Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) Associate will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with mental health challenges to live independently within the community. This position is designed to enhance the quality of life for clients by facilitating skills development activities through both individual and group interventions. The PSR Associate will work closely under the supervision of the Program Supervisor and Clinical Director/Supervisor, ensuring that all activities align with the therapeutic goals set for each individual. The primary focus of the PSR Associate will be to assist clients in developing the necessary skills to manage their daily lives effectively. This includes providing support in areas such as social skills, daily living skills, and coping strategies. The PSR Associate will engage clients in various activities that promote independence and self-sufficiency, while also monitoring their progress and adjusting interventions as needed. The role requires a compassionate and patient approach, as well as the ability to recognize and respond to the symptoms of mental illness and potential risks, including suicide. In addition to direct client interaction, the PSR Associate will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of client progress and participating in team meetings to discuss treatment plans and outcomes.
