About The Position

Position functions as a Psychometrician in the clinical setting and this person will perform memory testing on the patient before the patient see's the provider in the clinic. When the psychometrician is not testing they assist with office tasks such as phones, scheduling testing such as MRIs, CT scans, etc.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
  • Certifications /Professional Licenses : The list below may include all acceptable certifications, professional licenses and issuers. More than one credential, certification or professional license may be required depending on the role. Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, Basic Life Support - American Red Cross
  • Work Experience: No specific work experience is required for this position.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Psychology or related field.
  • Basic Life Support certification (Online Basic Life Support certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the Basic Life Support requirements).

Responsibilities

  • Administers psychological tests, observing and evaluation patient performance and making necessary changes in procedure.
  • Scores and interprets tests, enters results in computer.
  • Copies, delivers and files copies of tests to physician and division.
  • Schedules test appointment times, explains procedure of testing to patients and maintains files needed.
  • Researches pertinent articles for appropriate staff.
  • Retrieves previous patients’ tests when needed.
