The position involves providing psychological testing in various areas including cognitive skills, personality, academic achievement, and occupational/vocational interests. The role requires delivering both written and verbal feedback of test results and behavioral observations to psychologists. Additionally, the individual will assist psychologists in treating patients referred for specific types of stress management and/or biofeedback therapies. Responsibilities include the timely and accurate scoring of complex test protocols and making pertinent behavior observations. The position also entails explaining treatment rationale and procedures to patients to foster realistic and positive expectations. Effective and professional communication is essential, especially in managing challenging patient situations, while interacting with patients in a calm, sensitive, and empathetic manner. The role requires computer literacy for psychophysiological evaluations, word processing, and data management. Knowledge of the principles of growth and development across the lifespan is necessary, as well as the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status. The individual will also administer tests and coordinate functions in support of research protocols.
