About The Position

The position involves supporting the psychological assessment and data management processes within a correctional facility. Under the supervision of a Psychologist, the incumbent will administer psychological tests, manage data entry systems, and maintain various tracking logs to ensure compliance with mental health protocols. Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Education: GL-06 requires half a year of graduate education; GL-07 requires one full year of graduate education in psychology or related fields.
• Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, involving observation and assistance in psychological techniques.
• Ability to communicate orally and interpret policies and guidelines.
• Ability to work with data on a computer and organize clerical workflows.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in administering and scoring psychological tests.
• Experience in implementing automated data systems in a psychological context.

Responsibilities

• Administer and score a variety of psychological tests, including MMPI and Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory.
• Implement and manage the Bureau of Prison's automated psychology data entry system.
• Train psychology staff on data entry and retrieval processes.
• Maintain tracking logs for various mental health compliance and monitoring activities.
• Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and meeting minutes for the Chief Psychologist.
• Manage department expenditures and prepare purchase orders as a purchase card holder.
• Ensure the security of the institution as part of correctional responsibilities.
