Work-Study positions are federally funded, part-time positions. Each position will have a specific set of responsibilities that will be explained during the interview process. Requirements

  • You must apply with your Ivy Tech email address.
  • Enrolled as a student and maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress.
  • Has passed Introduction to Psychology (PSYC101).
  • Excellent reading, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze and summarize scholarly material.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours each semester.
  • Students must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress as determined by the Financial Aid Office.
  • Students must have a current and completed FAFSA on file.
  • Student must demonstrate financial need.
  • Selected candidate for employment will be subject to pre-employment background checks, including criminal history check, and any offer of employment will be contingent upon that outcome.
  • Official transcripts required upon hiring.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with academic research or literature review.
  • Familiarity with APA formatting and citation styles.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and locate valid, scholarly sources (books, journal articles, interviews, etc.) representing a range of perspectives in psychology.
  • Read and critically analyze selected sources.
  • Summarize key points and extract relevant excerpts.
  • Format and organize sources for integration into curriculum materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of sources and summaries.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Responsibilities may be completed remotely if hours are thoroughly documented and reported.
