This position is assigned to Primary Care Mental Health Integration (PCMHI), Veterans Health Indiana (VHI). The PCMHI position at this time is based at any VHI location that also provides Primary Care services but may need to provide services at other Veterans Health Indiana sites via video technology. • Collaboration with other services and clinics to ensure continuity of care across and outside of the mental health continuum of care
  • Completion of administrative tasks in support of the PCMHI team and program (e.g., timecards, writing policy, creating grids/schedules, etc.)
  • Consult management, both into and between PCMHI team
  • Hiring, disciplinary actions, and position management of direct reports
  • Collaboration with Psychiatry Service, Primary Care, and others to ensure VA's mission

  • Maintaining compliance with PCMHI Checklist, to include determination of plan in cases where compliance is not met
  • Providing consultation to other Psychiatry staff, as needed
  • Representing the Medical Center at professional community group/events and committees, in conferences/meetings with higher ranking managers, supervisors, and staff from other disciplines or work units, and/or with representatives of local public interest groups, congressional district offices and employees of State and local governments
  • Provide education to PACT members on behavioral health issues as well as consultation on tips for successful care management, even when there is no direct patient contact
  • This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
