About The Position

The Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and documenting case formulations, assessment results, treatment plans, and progress notes in a timely, concise, and clear manner. This role involves providing treatment services and clinical assessment for 20 hours per week, which includes individual and group psychotherapy, affidavit writing, and psychological assessment. The Fellow will attend multidisciplinary team meetings in assigned clinics and actively participate in clinical case consultation meetings. A key aspect of the position is to gain clinical expertise in evidence-based practices and culturally responsive care, as well as to develop expertise in specialty populations served in the assigned clinics. Additionally, the Fellow will engage in mentored scholarly or research activities, such as serving as a study therapist or assessor, conducting data analysis, co-authoring manuscripts, or submitting for external funding.

Requirements

  • A PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology
  • Completion of a full-time APA/CPA accredited clinical internship
  • Completion and defense of doctoral dissertation prior to start date
  • Extensive knowledge of clinical assessment and psychotherapy
  • Knowledge and skills in trauma-informed care
  • Ability to apply past clinical training in case conceptualization to the needs of individual clients
  • Strong track record for commitment to culturally responsive care
  • Skills in clinical documentation and timely completion of administrative tasks related to clinical care (e.g., notes, billing)
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with personnel from various specialties
  • Must demonstrate motivation to contribute strongly to clinical programs as well as to develop personal skills relevant to independent work in a clinical setting
